A divine soul has taken birth in a very small but very lucky village named Dhamtari in Chhattisgarh; This soul was none other than Pulak Sagar. Yes, Bharat Gaurav Muni Shri 108 Pulak Sagar Ji Maharaj was born in Dhamtari village. His birth brought happiness, wealth, honor and peace to Shri’s home. Shri Bhikam Chand ji and Shrimati Gopi Bai Jain, the parents of this child had their name just like his soul before initiation, Paras, which means this follower of the holy Jain religion and devotee of Lord Parshunath served mankind and preached Jainism under the guidance of Shri Jain.
Life Character
A religious Jain family from Chhattisgarh, who lived their lives with dedication and devotion to Jainism, were blessed on 11 May 1970 with a child named Paras. Entire families were celebrating the birth of this extraordinary child. Jain pilgrims, Jain temples were visited to thank God. Bhikam Chand ji wants to know the paras future and for the same he visits the home of his family pandit. He was overwhelmed to have a look into Paras’s future, and was told that Paras is not an ordinary child and would be a great saint, who would show the light of spirituality. Being a child, Paras was quite prone towards Dharmik Mahakavyas. The parents of Paras, like the parents of many other great saints, were embellished with hearts that shone with purity, nobility, and great reverence for teachers and saints. Paras used to listen to Jain Granths with great interest from his mother and grandmother. This was the period when spiritual life began for him.
At the young age of 23, when Paras Samkalin came in contact with the saint Shiromani Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, his search for truth intensified. Paras were separating from the materialistic world, which can give nothing to unstable pleasures, sorrows and complaints. On 27 January 1993, Acharya Vidya Sagar Ji Maharaj pointed fingers at Paras and helped him take the first step towards spirituality and bestowed upon him Brahmacharya Vata (Brahmacharya). His determination, nobility, religious views also influenced Acharya Shri Pushpapada Sagar Ji Maharaj and honored him with “Alok Diksha” on 27 January 1994 in Gwalior. On this lucky day, he got the right gifts of spirituality “Kamandal and Pikki”. Later, in Kanpur in front of the elders, he offered Muni Diksha and Acharya Sri called him “Muni Pulak Sagar”. With the grace and blessings of the Guru, Muni Shri 108 Pulak Sagar Ji discovered the complete truth. Each moment of Paras’ life was overflowing with the divine realization of the existence of all in one. Beside physical charm and pride had arrived at the platform, his campaign towards the final destination was started. The journey to a blissful state where no one can separate one from God and religion finally begins.

In order to propagate Jainism to the ignorant, non-religious people and Jain beliefs with the motto to serve various mankind, they have served and visited cities like Delhi, Meerut, Agra, Gwalior, Jaipur, Indore, Mumbai, Surat, Nagpur, Ajmer and small cities like Saharanpur, Sikar etc. Not only this, to spread the word, he reached small villages that were far out of reach, where there was no electricity, no roads facilities, no basic facilities, but still the muni visited those places with only one motive.
