Wealth, property stands for money which is presently the biggest need of man. All material needs of human life are fulfilled by money only. Lakshmi is also a name for wealth, and prosperity. Lakshmi who is the wife of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that only through the grace of Maa Lakshmi, one can gain wealth and prosperity in their life. In a house where Maa Lakshmi doesn’t live, there lives the impoverishment. That’s why it is considered very important to please. That is why it is considered very important to please Goddess Lakshmi and the laxmi puja is done in order to please her.
Who is Maa Laxmi?
Goddess Lakshmi is called the goddess of wealth and prosperity. The Vishnu Purana of Sanatan Dharma states that Lakshmi ji is a patron of Bhag and Khwati and lives in heaven. At the time of Samudra-manthan, the lecture of the glory of Lakshmi is described in the Vedas. Lakshmi Ji blessed Vishnu as her husband, which further strengthened her powers.
Lakshmi is consecrated by two elephants in her idols. She sits on the lotus seat. Lotus has been given special importance in the worship of Lakshmi because this flower is a symbol of tenderness, it comes in the place of worship of Goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi ji has four hands. She is the symbol of goal and four natures (foresight, determination, labor and order power) and Maa Lakshmi ji blesses her devotees with all her hands. Her vehicle is described as an owl, which is an indicator of fearlessness.
Majorly, worship of Goddess Lakshmi is done on Diwali. However, continuous worship of Lakshmi is considered more fruitful for devotees.
Mata Laxmi Pooja Mantras to please her:
Many important mantras have been given in the Vedas for the worship of Goddess Lakshmi. The following mantra is mentioned in the Rigveda to please Goddess Lakshmi:
धनमग्निर्धनं वायुर्धनं सूर्यो धनं वसुः ।
धनमिन्द्रो बृहस्पतिवरुणं धनमस्तु ते । ।
अश्वदायै गोदायै धनदाय महाधने।
धनं मे जुषतां देवि सर्वकामांश्च देहि मे । ।
मनसः काममाकूतिं वाचः सत्यमशीमहि ।
पशूनां रूपमन्नस्य मयि श्रीः श्रयतां यशः । ।

Many people perform Lakshmi ji ki aarti, but without knowing the meaning and impure pronunciation, its fruit is not available to them. While worshiping Lakshmi, special attention should be given to cleanliness. On the occasion of Deepawali, Specially Diwali Lakshmi puja is performed in which after worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, worship the lamp, for this, lit seven, eleven, twenty-one or more lamps of sesame oil and put it on a plate and worship it. After Deepak Pujan in special Diwali Lakshmi puja, the women of the house surrender all the gold ornaments etc. with their hands to Maa Lakshmi. The next day, after bathing and after the rituals, the jewelry and other things of suhag, which were offered, should be considered as Prasad of Goddess Lakshmi and use it yourself. It is believed that by doing this, the grace of Mother Lakshmi remains forever in the life of devotees.

अर्थ – आप उमा, रमा और ब्रह्माणी के रुप में जगत का पालन-पोषण करती हो। सूर्य-चंद्रमा भी आपका ध्यान करते हैं और नारद ऋषि भी आपकी स्तुति गाते हैं। आपको प्रणाम है।
दुर्गारुप निरंजन, सुख संपत्ति दाता |
जो कोई तुमको ध्याता, ऋद्धि सिद्धी धन पाता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – आप मां दुर्गा का ही रुप हैं और सुख-संपत्ति देने वाली हो। जो भी आपका ध्यान करता है और पूजा करता है उसे ऋद्धि, सिद्धि और धन सब कुछ मिल जाता है। आपको प्रणाम है।
तुम ही पाताल निवासनी, तुम ही शुभदाता |
कर्मप्रभाव प्रकाशनी, भवनिधि की त्राता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – पाताल में भी आपका निवास है, आपकी कृपा हर लोक में है। आप हर तरह का शुभ और मंगल करने वाली हो। आपकी प्रेरणा से ही अच्छे कर्म हो पाते हैं और उनके प्रभाव से भवनिधि की प्राप्ति भी हो जाती है। आपको प्रणाम है।
जिस घर तुम रहती हो , ताँहि में हैं सद् गुण आता |
सब सभंव हो जाता, मन नहीं घबराता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – जिस घर में आपका निवास हो जाता है वहां हर तरह के मांगलिक कार्य होते हैं। सब कुछ शुभ हो जाता है। हर असंभव काम भी पूरा हो जाता है। मन में किसी भी तरह का डर और शंका नहीं रहती। आपको प्रणाम है।
तुम बिन यज्ञ ना होता, वस्त्र न कोई पाता |
खान पान का वैभव, सब तुमसे आता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – आपके आव्हान और पूजा के बिना किसी भी तरह के यज्ञ और मांगलिक कार्य नहीं होते हैं। तुम्हारी कृपा के बिना कोई राजसिक सुख नहीं पाता यानी किसी को भी वस्त्र नहीं मिलते, अच्छा भोजन नहीं मिलता और तुम्हारी कृपा से हर तरह का वैभव और सुख मिल जाता है। आपको प्रणाम।
शुभ गुण मंदिर सुंदर क्षीरनिधि जाता |
रत्न चतुर्दश तुम बिन ,कोई नहीं पाता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – समुद्र मंथन से आपकी उत्पत्ति हुई है। आपका मंदिर यानी आपका लोक, जहां आप निवास करती हो वो भव्य और सुंदर है। आपकी कृपा से ही इस पृथ्वी पर रत्न और मणियां उपलब्ध है। आपकी कृपा के बिना ऐसा नहीं हो पाता। आपको प्रणाम है।
महालक्ष्मी जी की आरती ,जो कोई नर गाता |
उँर आंनद समाता,पाप उतर जाता ॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता….
अर्थ – आपकी आरती जो भी कोई गाता है उसे हर तरह का आनंद और आध्यात्मिक सुख मिलता है और उस मनुष्य के हर तरह के पाप खत्म हो जाते हैं। आपको प्रणाम है।
