Born on 28th June 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa, Elon Reeve Musk took an early interest in computer programming and attended Queen’s University at 17 for education when the family moved to Canada. Born to Errol Musk and Maye Musk, Elon Musk has seen many ups and downs in personal relationships. He met his first wife, Justine Wilson, a Canadian Author while being at the Queen’s University. They got married in 2000 and took divorce in 2008. Their first son died 10 weeks after his birth and later they had twins (2004) and triples (2006) through in vitro fertilisation.
Talulah Riley, an English Actress got married to Elon in 2010 after two years of dating. Musk announced an end to their four-year relationship in 2012 and the couple got remarried in 2013. However, Elon Musk again filed for the second divorce in 2014 and it was eventually withdrawn. Later on, in March 2016, Riley filed a divorce and it was finalised.
Elon Musk then dated Amber Heard, an American actress for one year and is now he is seen with Canadian musician Grimes.
Early Career& Companies
Elon Musk dropped his plans to do PhD in Applied Physics and Material Sciences to pursue a career in entrepreneurship. In 1999, Zip2 co-founded by him and is a web-software company, grabbed a $300 million deal from Compaq.
He then founded an online bank, X.com which then in 2000 merged with Confinity to become PayPal. In 2002, PayPal was then bought for $1.5 billion by eBay!
A Space Transport service and aerospace manufacturer company, SpaceX was founded by Musk in May 2002. Musk then co-founded Tesla which is a solar panel and electric car manufacturer.SolarCity, a solar energy service providing company inspired by Musk is now a subsidiary of Tesla. He is the CEO of both the Elon Musk companies as of now and the Chief Designer (SpaceX) and also the Product architect (Tesla).
