The festival is also named as Vesak, is celebrated with religious fervor by Buddhist, the day has another specialty to remain it is the day when Gautam Buddha attained salvation under Mahabodhi tree at Bodh Gaya.

The day of Nirvana (salvation) for Gautam Buddha falls on the full moon night in the month of Vaisakh, there is no fixed date to commemorate the salvation of Buddha. The date gets varies for every year according to the calendar, but by assumingly the day usually falls on either month of April or May.

In the current year, Vesak falls on 30th April 2019. Gautam Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal and he attains Salvation in Kushinagar, India. Siddhartha Gautama has later become Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.
