Life begins at the end of your comfort zone by Gaur Gopal Das
In this video revered master Gaur Gopal Das shares a story i.e, once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons. They were the most beautiful birds the king had ever seen. He gave these precious birds to a falconer to be trained. After a couple of months one day the falconer reported the king that though one of the falcons was flying high in the sky, the other bird had not moved at all from its branch. The king summoned sorcerers and healers from all the land to make the bird fly but to his surprise, no one was able to do so.
After trying everything he could the king told the ministers that "Maybe we need someone more familiar with nature someone who understands birds and animals". Next morning the king was delighted when he saw the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens then he asked the ministers to bring the doer of this miracle.
The ministers brought a simple farmer, the king asked the farmer, “How did you make this falcon fly?”. The farmer replied to the king, “It was very easy, your royal highness. I simply cut the branch on which the bird was sitting.”
We all are made to fly high in the sky but often we sit on our branches and don't try to come out of our comfort zone and remain stuck in it. There are endless opportunities out there but for most of us, they remain undiscovered because we just stick to the things we know.
