Kumbh Mela or Kumbha Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in the waters of the holy rivers, The Ganga, The Yamuna and The Saraswati. Traditionally, four fairs are widely recognized as the Kumbh Melas: the Prayag Kumbh Mela, the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, the Nashik Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela, and the Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh Mela. These four fairs are held periodically at one of the following places by rotation: Prayag Raj (Prayaga), Haridwar, Nashik district (Nashik and Trimbak), and Ujjain. The main festival site is located on the banks of a river: the Ganges (Ganga) at Haridwar; the confluence (Sangam) of the Ganges and the Yamuna and the invisible Sarasvati at Prayag Raj; the Godavari at Nashik; and the Shipra at Ujjain. Bathing in these rivers is thought to free a person from all of their sins.
In the same spirit, the Ardh Kumb will be hosted in the newly named city of Prayag Raj this year from 15 January 2019 to 4 March 2019. So, here we are presenting a beautiful bhajan ‘Sab Chalo’ in the spirit of Kumbh Mela of 2019.
Do watch this really melodious bhajan for Kumbh 2019 .
Chalo Kumbh Chalein.
