Navratri or the Nine Days are the holy nine days that are celebrated according to the Hindu Mythology, commemorating the Nine Avatars of Devi Durga. These nine days are celebrated all over the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. The third day of Navratri is celebrated in the name of the Chandra Ghanta; an incarnation of Goddess Durga on Earth. Goddess Chandra Ghanta is an epitome of justice, strength and truth. She signifies the victory of the good over evil, the victory of right over wrong and the loss of the oppressor by the hands of oppressed. The Goddess Chandra Gantha is known as the Third Incarnation of Goddess Durga and is thus worshipped on the Third day of Navratri.
